Green Elfcup, Chlorociboria aeruginascens, Helotiaceae. Syn. Chlorosplenium aeruginascens, Helotium aeruginascens.

Green Elfcup, Chlorociboria aeruginascens, Helotiaceae. Syn. Chlorosplenium aeruginascens, Helotium aeruginascens, Peziza aeruginascens. The fruiting bodies of this fungus are not often seen but the mycelium growing through the wood stains it a bright blue-green. This wood was much once prized as "Green Oak" in the manufacture of Tonbridge ware veneer.
