This is one of the most graceful among the smaller Palms, with wide- spreading arching pinnate leaves, broadly lance-shaped in outline, with long, narrow pinnae, the lower of which becomes gradually reduced to spines. Good strong young plants, in 4-inch pots, 50 cts. each ; strong specimens, in 6-inch pots, 2 feet high, § each ; 7-inch pots, § each PHCENIX RECLINATA. One of the most rapid-growing varieties, and of exceedingly easy culture. A Japanese variety of easy culture, succeeds in almost any position. The foliage is of a very rich, dark green color ; the habit of the plant is to sucker from the base, so that it forms a handsomely bushy specimen.
