Leyland Atlantean in Ribble livery preserved by the Lancastrian Transport Trust

The Atlantean, introduced in the late sixties changed the face of the double-decker bus, introducing the rear engine format. This design change meant that it was possible to have the entrance next to the driver making one-man operation possible for the first time on a double-decker.
