Brachyphyllum is an extinct genus of bushy, coniferous plants belonging to the family of the Araucariaceae and the class of the Pinopsida. Fossil remains are found all over the world in rocks ranging from Jurassic to Middle Cretaceous. They typically have relatively short and rounded leaves that are close-set on their stem as well as one upon the other
