The rich blue tones of their flowers fill a vacancy in this color, of which there is never a superabundance, particularly during their flowering period, which covers the months of May and June. They form much-branched specimens 3 to 5 feet high, each branch terminated by a large, pyramidal, graceful spike of blue flowers, and while the habit of the plant is strong and vigorous it is not at all coarse. Of easy culture in any good garden soil and a sunny position. Very effective either in solid beds or in the hardy border. Dropmore Variety. Rich gentian blue. Opal. A splendid lustrous light blue. 25 cts. each; $ per doz.; $ per 100. Anchusa Myosotidiflora. A distinct new species from the Caucasian mountains, grow- ing but 10 to 12 inches high, producing during April and May sprays ot beautiful Forget- me-not-like flowers of rich blue. 25 cts. each. Anemones. (Windflower). We offer a splendid selection of the best kinds. See page 200. Anemonopsis. Macrophylla. A very rare Hardy Perennial from Japan, growing about 2 feet high. The general habit of the plant as well as its unopened flower buds is not unlike a miniature Japanese Anemone. The rich violet bell-shaped flowers are produced in loose racemes late in summer.
