A very dwarf, early fall-flowering variety forming compact clumps about a foot high. These are smothered with large semi-double white flowers. It is a splendid novelty which deserves a place in every garden. Subcaeruleus. Forms a dense tuft of leaves from which arise many leafless stems 12 inches high, bearing in June and July massive bluish violet flowers 3 inches in diameter.
