The day was unfortunately cloudy most of the time,with drifting masses of cloud and mist in all the valleys sothat we were quite unable to photograph the beautifulvistas of hills and valleys. This we regretted very much asit is unlikely we shall ever be along this road again. It is adifficult trip from Cartago and we would not have seen thesefalls except for Mr. Lankesters kindness. The Orosi Fallsare well worth any labor required to reach them and ourtrip thither was one of the finest and most beautiful we hadin Costa C/J ^ 1 O To face p. i6S
