The Moel y Gerddi house within a ditched & fenced enclosure at Butser Ancient Farm, Hampshire, UK. An archaeological reconstruction based on the excavation of a C4th/3rdBC site in Wales. The house is 9m (30ft) in diameter built on a double ring of posts. Firewood is stored under the eaves & woodsmoke is percolating through the thatch. The wattle and daub wall has been partly whitewashed around the east-facing doorway. Front L is a pole lathe used for wood turning.
