Neglected allotment garden that is overgrown with weeds and has a dilapidated shed

An allotment (British English) or a community garden (North America) is a plot of land that can be rented for individual, non-commercial vegetable and plant growing. Some allotments will also allow users to breed small animals on their allotments such as chickens. Allotments are popular in many countries as they offer a way for families to grow their own food and provides a healthy and interesting pastime. However they are a lot of work and as this picture shows they can easily become overgrown if you don't spend time weeding and tending them.
