Segmented fold-up neck-guard,wound with a white band(indicating infantry)bearing an imperial cockade(repainted in some parts). On the front side attached imperial eagle plate fastened by two wire hooks. Lined with somewhat faded green cotton drill,leather sweatband,maker's mark of the Bortfeld company,supply room stamps of the 1st East Asian Infantry Regiment,I.
