Flood barriers keep the high water level on the River Severn from flooding Severn Side North in Bewdley, Worcestershire, after Storm Babet.

Floods in Bewdley, Worcestershire. Temporary flood barriers keep the high water level on the River Severn at bay, after Storm Babet. However, properties on the opposite side of the River Severn have been left without flood protection, because work by the Environment Agency to erect permanent flood barriers, which started in September, has not been completed and it is preventing the use of temporary barriers.
