China: 'Spring Landscape', Gong Xian (1618 - 1689), hanging scroll, ink on paper. Gong Xian was a Chinese painter who worked during the latter period of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) and the early Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912). He was fiercely anti-Qing and spent the latter years of his life in exile in Yangzhou.
