Buddleia taking hold of brickwork number 3709

Budleya is favoured for its attraction qualities for butterflies. It can have a destructive side to it when seeds take a grip in a brickwork's mortar joint. Once it has taken hold the roots will expand and this is particularly problematic on brickwork chimney stacks.
