Hypericum Moserianum (St. John's Wort). This new Hypericum makes a val- uable addition to any list of summer-flowering shrubs. Its blossoms are about the size of a wild rose, deep golden-yellow, on long, drooping stems. It blooms constantly during the summer and late autumn, and is very effective on the edge of shrubbery beds. New in this country. 25 rents each ; $ per dozen ; $ per 100. A FEW HARDY SHRUBS. Azalea Arborescens. A shrub valuable for planting in any locality. The flowers are white and rose tinged, setoff with bright scarlet stamens, and are large and deliciously fragrant, while the foliage is dark and glossy. 50 cents each ; $ per dozen. Azalea Calendulacea. This is a magnificent shrub and the showiest of the species ; its flowers shade from light straw color and orange to brilliant crimson. It is suitable for any situation. 50 cents each ; $ per dozen ; $ per 100. Azalea Vaseyii. As yet, thi> plant is very rare, and was introduced by Mr. Kelsey, of North Carolina. It is a new deciduous Rhododendron, a profuse and very early bloomer, flowering in all shades of pink. 50 cents each ; $ per 100. Cornus Alternifolia (Blue Dogwood). Tt takes its name from the color of the fruit, which is of a blue black, and remains on the tree for many weeks. The branches assume a horizontal habit as the tree grows older, and gives a beautiful effect of layers of foliage. 25
