Azure stonecrop, Sedum caeruleum, from the rocky shore of the Maltese Islands.


The Azure stonecrop, in Maltese called “Beżżulet il-Baqra “, is very abundant around the Maltese Islands. It is a low growing succulent plant that covers the sun exposed rocky coasts of Malta from March to May with small white to blue flowers. The size of the reddish round leaves is only etween6 to 7 mm in height.
