A medieval sword, in excavated condition, perhaps Italian late 13th century, Of slender proportions, the lower half of the blade cut on each face with two narrow fullers each positioned closer to one edge than to the other, and the second shorter fuller converging to join the other longer fuller, fitted with crosspiece formed with extremely short quillons with defined indented tips, and rounded pommel flattened over almost its full surface on one face and at the centre only of the opposing face.
