The first game wasagainst St. Catharines High School. In the first few minutes ofplay our opponents being heavier, overwhelmed us, but conditionsoon told, and at the end of the game the score stood in favor ofSt. Andrews. In this game Gord. Eoss kicking was the feature,together with the following up of the Second Rugby Team. The next game, played at Hamilton against Highfield School,was fought out in the mud of the Cricket Grounds. The boys outclassed their opponents in every departmentof the game, and proved it by defeating them 24 to 4. Lastly came the game, which was played on their owngrounds. The tally-ho left the school about 3 oclock, and thegame was started directly we arrived. The field was the slip-priest that the team had yet encountered, and the drizzHno rain 44 ST. ANDREWS COLLEGE REVIEW made playing far from agreeable. Tlie first, points weremade by Wright falling on a muffed ball behind theirline. This was converted by Paterson I. During the secondquarter only scored five points on rouges. During thesecond half scored two points to the Saints five, makingthe final score 11-7 in our favor.
