This kind of ruins make people with work who pay taxes, move to the suburbs. The city has no money to address the vacancy. De Continental Motor opened in the 30's and closed in the mid 1970's. The residents in the area sued the company due to smell/noise from the plant. The citizens lost the suit, but the company moved to another location anyway, abandoning this one.
