TICK Commonly known as Deer Tick or Sheep Tick they are members of the spider family and are parasites feeding from the blood of animals or birds. They cause Lyme disease in humans through the bacteria which they carry. Their population is increasing in line with the increase and spread of the deer population in the UK.
