Light micrograph of the cerebellar cortex immunostained for glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), a marker of astrocytes that are located in the granular layer. In the molecular layer, the parallel radial processes that reach the pial surface belong to Bergmann glia or Golgi epithelial cells.
