New Orleans, Louisiana - A man fishes in the Bayou Bienvenue Wetland Triangle in the lower ninth ward. The area used to be an old growth swamp with cypress trees and freshwater wildlife. The swamp was destroyed by saltwater infiltrating in the 1960s after the completion of a shipping channel, the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet.
