Walking the way of the Cross. For over twenty years the Walsall Town Centre Ministry re-enact the scene of Jesus carrying the cross through the Town Centre. Hundreds of people gather at the bottom of the Town Centre as an actor playing the role of Jesus is guarded by soldiers. The procession then makes it's way through the busy shopping centre stopping at various points to recite prayers or sing hymns. The parade finishes in the central square where the Cross being carried is erected and a service takes place for all denominations
