Interior of the covered food market "Antica Tettoia dell'Orologio" of Porta Palazzo, in the city centre of Turin, Piedmont, Italy

Porta Palazzo is part of the Aurora district of Turin and it's fulcrum is the octagonal Piazza della Repubblica which, with its 51300 m², is the largest square in the city and daily hosts the largest open-air market in Europe, dating back to 1835. The Antica Tettoia dell'Orologio was built in 1906 and represents a typical example of a metal structure of the time. It is currently dedicated only to the food trade, divided into 88 numbered points-of-sale.
