March 12, 2010 - Star trails in the Albufeira Lagoon (Lagoa de Albufeira), Portugal. Visible in this image are the paths of many stars like Procyon, Aldebaran, M45 The Pleiades, Sirius, Betelgeuse and Rigel, and the Orion Nebula M42. Also highlighted in this image are the colors of the tracks reflected in the water of the Lagoon. With the slight movement of water, the trail of the brightest stars like Sirius, stay blurred, producing more saturated colors, showing us the true color of each star due to their type and temperture. The white blue stars like Sirius are hotter, and can have temperatures about 25,000 degrees Kelvin.
