These are just two individuals in a group of Common Green Shield Bugs (Palomena prasina) in their Winter Colour on the Woodland Floor. Common Green Shield bugs range in colour from green to bronze through the year. They are common throughout Britain and Europe and can be found in a wide variety of habitats including gardens. The imagos emerge in April and May to mate in June. They hibernate in November.
