Die Hel is a remote valley in the Swartberg Mountains of the Klein Karoo in South Africa It was inhabited by local farmers till 1960 when the first winding road was built into this remote scenic valley It is also known as Gamkaskloof because the Gamka river flows through it Untill recently it was well known for very sweet dried fruit Today it is only for nature conservation and tourists travel on a hair raising road to get here
