Bridge over stream in Ashdown forest probably the site where pooh sticks was invented by AA Milne

It is about half an hours walk from the car park south of the village of Hartfield Sussex to the restored bridge where Pooh Sticks was invented. Aside from the small shop, there is no commercialisation of the popular story books. No Theme Parks here! Not even an enterprising lad selling sticks to the visitors hoping to pick up a few suitable twigs by the side of the path through the forest.
