Builders Rob Nitman and Lamin Jatta celebrate the finished restoration of Brighton'sVictorian seafront bandstand with a dance on the platform The ornate bandstand built in 1884 and weighing 23 tonnes was last used regularly in the 1950s and has been restored at a cost of £950 000 by Brighton and Hove City Council in 2008-2009. The bandstand will now be used regularly by various bands and choirs throughout the summer.
