A Tibetan casket,19th century A silver casket for the storage of ritual implements,with elaborately embossed,finely chiselled and engraved decoration,partially gilded. On the hinged lid portrayals of three Bodhisattvas between fabulous beasts on rich cloud decoration. The casket secured by means of a hasp decorated with vajra. The sides display gods and demons against a floral background next to eight Buddhist symbols: umbrella,conch horn,fish,vase,victory banner,eternity knot,lotus blossom,and Dharma wheel. 26 x 26 x 23 cm.
