Burrowbridge, UK. 22nd Feb, 2014. A new pump flown in by Merlin helicopter made operational by Army Commandos at Burrowbridge on February 22, 2014. The pump will supply Saltmoor Pumping Station, run by the Environment Agency, with diesel fuel for its addiitional water pumps that have been installed to remove the high volume of flood water from the surrounding fields around Northmoor and village of Moorland and pump it into the River Parrett where it is carried away by the tide. This is the worst flooding on the Somerset Levels in living history.
