Ornithogalum Caudatum / Ornithogalum Longebracteatum / False Sea Onion, white flowers


Ornithogalum Caudatum, or False Sea Onion, is a bulbous plant native to South Africa and looks very similar to an onion. The bulb grows above ground and will reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. The strap-like leaves are semi-succulent and will reach up to 36 inches (1 m) in length.
