A German campaign sword Circa 1630. Richly etched blade of diamond section, the obverse with the motto "SOLI DEO GLORIA", surmounting a medallion signed "Iohannes Wirsberger" and a Christ monogram "IHS", on the reverse another medallion depicting smith pliers and signature "Iohannes Wirsberger", each set between floral decoration. On both sides of the base of the blade the additional signature "Peter Monsit" and "Me Fecit Solingen".
