Geologists refer to the foreground rocks in this riverbed ( Tankwa River ) as 'Striations on slumped Sandstone' and the vertical formations in the background as ' Eroded Ecca Sandstone and Shale of ancient delta deposits'. Thank heavens that I am just a photographer. To get here go to 32° 37' " South & 20° 21' " East. Take food, water and 2 spare tyres.
