Almost all other Namibian marble and granite is currently exported in blocks to South Africa and Europe, meaning that 90 percent of its value is lost to the local economy. Omaruru is a city and constituency in the Erongo Region of Namibia. The town has 14,000 inhabitants and owns 352 square kilometres of land. The town is situated near the Erongo Mountains, on the usually dry Omaruru River
