Red-banded jellyfish (Chrysaora hysoscella) are an abundant species in the colder Namibian waters. Features include a more shallow bell than other species, which are armed with 24 long, hollow tentacles. Their preferred habitat is sheltered bays, where they congregate in huge numbers.
