RAF ground crew transporting 250 pound general purpose, and 500 pound medium capacity bombs to a Lockheed Ventura, a US built twin engine patrol bomber. They were in use with three Royal Air Force (RAF) squadrons in 1942, but never very popular among RAF crews. Although it was 50 mph (80 km/h) faster and carried more than twice as many bombs as its predecessor, the Hudson, it proved unsatisfactory as a bomber.
