Founder of the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo is Rainier III, the late Prince of Monaco, who watches the 15th annual performance with his three adult children, Princess Caroline (left), son and current ruler Prince Albert II, and Princess Stephanie. Photographed in February, 1990. Rainier died in 2005 at the age of 81 after ruling the principality for almost 56 years. He was married to the famous American actress Grace Kelly, the children's mother, who met a tragic death in an automobile accident in 1982. Historical photo.
