Carol II (3 October 1893 - 4 April 1953) reigned as King of Romania from 8 June 1930 until his forced abdication on 6 September 1940. Helen of Greece and Denmark (2 May 1896 - 28 November 1982), was the queen mother of Romania during the reign of her son King Michael I (1940-1947).
