Redstone rocket at Kansas Cosmosphere

An American Mercury Redstone rocket outside the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA, photographed in 2014 at night with a crescent moon in the sky. The Redstone ballistic missile was repurposed to launch Mercury astronauts into space in the early 1960s. Now known simply as Cosmosphere, the space museum and education centre was developed from a planetarium established on the site in 1962.
