First Five-Year Plan of the Soviet Union (1928-1932), implemented by Joseph Stalin. The Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Station was built on the Dnieper River. The design of the dam was carried out by Soviet architects. In 1932 its construction was completed, becoming the largest dam in the world.
