Ap. (ge: S. Stefano d'Aveto) (Sarà & Sala- manna, 1967). Remarks : Vaillant (1976) has reported this species from S. France; the descriptions and the drawings of the specimens collected in the Dauphiné Alps differ in many features (mainly subgenital plates) both from the types and from all other Italian populations; we suggest therefore that they may belong to another taxon. Specimens from Cor- sica, which were also reported to Vaillant (1976) in the same paper, might belong to B. sardoa Salamanna, recently described from Sar- dinia (Salamanna, 1983a).
