The hieroglyphs describe and record what the farmers are squabbling about as they stand in line. The text says: Come on! Get away! Don't speak in the presence of the praised one! He hates people on in quiet and in , Nebamun, the scribe and counter of grain of [Amun] knows all. The name of Amun in Nebamun's name has been scratched out - the ruler Akhenaten had Amun's name erased from all when he chose to follow the Aten.
