La Dolce Vita by Lorenzo Quinn on the central reservation of Park Lane in London

Lorenzo Quinn's 'La Dolce Vita' was installed in Park Lane in 2012 as part of Westminster Council’s City of Sculpture Festival. It was first shown in an exhibition of outdoor sculpture in Rome. It consists of a giant hand holding a Vespa scooter. The artist has described it as an attempt to visualise the thrill of living in Rome in the 1950s as described to him by his father, the actor Anthony Quinn.
