A landscape scattered with strange weathered Quartzite pillars in the Magaliesberg Mountains of South Africa on a clear sunny summers day. The Magaliesberg Mountain is a small mountain chain in the Gauteng and North-west provinces of South Africa. The mountains consist predominantly of layers of shale, quartzite and dolomite of the Transvaal Supergroup which was uplifted and tilted about 2000 million years ago.
