'The Runners' sculpture at O'Hare International Airport. work, a 16-foot sculpture by Dr. Theodoros Papagiannis a professor from Athens is part of the Chicago Public Art Collection. Athens is a sister city to Chicago. The city is also host to one of the world's major marathons each year in early October. In the background is a CTA Blue Line rapid transit train that connects downtown Chicago with the airport while running for much of its run in the median of the Kennedy Expressway.
