Simon Lord Lovat (c1667-1747). By William Hogarth (1697-1764). Chief of Clan Fraser, Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat switched his support between the Jacobites and the government throughout his life. His support for Prince Charles at Culloden in 1746 led to his execution, for high treason, on 9th April 1747, on Tower Hill.
