Acacia filiciana Mimosoideae Fabaceae. Acacia filiciana is a small tree native to Mexico. Its roots provide a potentially psychoactive addition to Pulque a fermented drink derived from agave. The Aztecs called the tree Ocpatl. Today in Mexican Spanish it is called palo de pulque or Pulque Tree.
