The Covenanter's Memorial beside the A701 above the Devil's Beef Tub north of Moffat in the Scottish Borders. The memorial is to Covenanter John Hunter shot on the 12th August 1685 by Douglas's Dragoons whilst trying to escape up the side of The Beef Tub, his body was buried in Tweedsmuir churchyard
