It blooms with the greatest profusion in spring and early summer, the flowers resembling large orchids in their delicate, fan- tastic structure, and in the richness, purity and ex- quisite shadings of color. In addition they are more or less fragrant. Ihe foliage is luxuriant, broad, sword- like and bluish-green. Succeeds on all soils, but prefers a dry, well drained situation. ASIATICA.—Stands purple plum; falls darker purpie. AURORA.—Stand- golden yellow, falls lemon. CELESTE.—Pure celestial blue throughout, changing to porcelain; very profuse; superb. CHAS.
