Earthquake Fault-line cuts across a main road: the lateral displacement is about 4 metres. Near Darfield, Canterbury, New Zealand. The magnitude earthquake occurred along the Greendale Fault, 4th September 2010. That used to be a perfectly straight road, now shifted exactly 1-lane-width sideways. There is another photo of the perfectly-straight road looking in the other direction.
